2. The image on page 241 is the fear of a young child. It is the understandable paranoia of a boy who's father was killed in the 9/11 attack. It's the ambition of someone trying to escape reality by completing it. A metaphor is comparing something to another thing by calling it that thing. It's a little bit obscure to explain, but hopefully the examples helped.
