Hi! My name is Jessica Benedict. I will be 20 years old on Wednesday, February 4th. I like to read, write, hike, work on computer programming, and loom knit. This is my 4th semester at Essex.
1) The last thing that I wrote was an essay for Cornell University's transfer application. I chose to write about a quote by St. Francis of Asissi: "All the darkness in the world cannot extinguish the light of a single candle."
2) The last full length book that I read was Dark Haven by Gail Z. Martin. It is the third book in the Chronicles of the Necromancer series.
3) The last event I attended on campus was a discussion on homosexuality and Christianity last semester. I can't remember the date, but the event was sponsored by the Rainbow Club, and I attended it in order to complete an assignment for SPCM 101.
4) I spend approximately 2 hours each day in the car.
5) My goal for this class is to improve my conclusions when writing essays.
