Ever since I was young, one object has played an important part in my life. Back when I was a young child, this object helped me learn my ABC’s and my 123’s. With educational games and small programs to help with school, the computer is something that I have used for as long as I can remember. Later on in my life, when playing was the only thing that came to mind my computer stood by my side with numerous games and CD’s to keep me entertained when I was unable to find anything to do. Then as I progress through school, I found that the computer was more that just a form of entertainment; it was more a tool to make my whole life easier. Any time I needed to do a project for school or to find out what something meant, I was able to do so with ease due to the help of my computer. Even today I use my computer everyday to keep up with what is happening around the world and what is going on in my friends’ lives that I don’t get to see everyday.
Even though the computer has caused many problems throughout the years like viruses or a crash, I have always managed to find a way to fix it. This also gives me an opportunity to learn new things on the computer so that if the same problem was ever to some up again I would know how to handle it appropriately. Recently, I have found that the computer and the web make this world a very small place. Since I still have a few good friends and family members scattered around the world, it would be impossible to talk to them without the computer. But now we are able to chat and find out what is happening half way across the world with the click of the mouse. My computer has been used for so many things in my life that I would never be able to count – from entertainment to education, the easier route to take is to turn on the computer.
